Finally, months after sowing, here are the first seedlings of Gladiolus palustris at the Monte Barro Park!
In the summer of 2021, the staff of the Monte Barro Park – CFA collected the gladiolus seeds in the project sites within the Special Conservation Areas IT2030003 Monte Barro and IT2020002 Sasso Malascarpa and, after having cleaned and characterized them, has provided for their sowing.
Currently the plants are really very small: we just have to wait a few years to allow the bulbs to develop properly, bring them back to nature and appreciate their showy blooms in the Lombard Prealps.
