After the eradication of the Hottentot Fig (ππ’π±π°π£π³π°π΅πΆπ΄), an invasive alien species that occupied and endangered the π³ππππππ πππππ subsp. ππππ ππ, the Biodiversity Conservation Center (CCB) and the Germplasm Bank of Sardinia (BG-SAR), together with the staff of the Molentargius-Saline Regional Natural Park and the Agesci Cagliari Group 9 scouts, have positioned anti-erosive geomats in biodegradable coconut fiber to protect the delicate dune system present on the edge of the Quartu Sant’Elena salt pans.
