From 29 September to 1 October, the first SEEDFORCE Standardization Workshop dedicated to processing procedures within germplasm banks was held at the Bank of the Germplasm of Sardinia (BG-SAR) of the Botanical Garden of the University of Cagliari.<\/p>\n\n

The workshop, with the presence of numerous participants from Italy, France, Spain, Slovenia and Malta, was open to project partners but not only: the meeting was in fact also addressed to GENMEDA members, a network of banks and centers for the conservation of the Mediterranean flora.<\/p>\n\n

On the first day, the results of the first field season were presented, while the second day was dedicated to sharing the processing procedures within the germplasm banks.<\/p>\n\n

On the third and final day all the participants reached the Saline Molentargius Regional Natural Park by bike: after the President’s greeting, there was an inspection of the intervention site of the species Linaria flava<\/em> subsp. sardoa<\/em>, where it was possible to observe the manual removal of Carpobrotus sp<\/em>., an invasive species extremely harmful to coastal habitats.<\/p>\n\n
