Work camp in Monte Barro

Last March 19th, the second work camp dedicated to the ecological restoration of a strip of Lombard peat bog which, until the beginning of the century, was the habitat of 𝙇𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙞, a rare native orchid, was successfully held.

The Centro Flora Autoctona, as part of our project, is working to reintroduce it in this area by producing plants thanks to the use of seeds coming from two natural populations, one in Trentino and the other in Mantua.

We thank Parco Adda Nord, Legambiente Lecco Onlus and Parco Monte Barro for their precious help.

Special thanks to Laura Hundevadt Bech for the photos!
