About ten days ago, the first intervention to strengthen the population of 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖 was carried out in the Boschi delle Groane (ZSC IT2050002).
The activity involved the planting of over 800 plants, divided into 10 plots of one square meter each, distributed over an area of about one hectare. The plots were strategically positioned to reconstruct the ecological connection between two natural eco-systems already present, exploiting the existing depressions and the network of small canals, specifically remodeled.
With this transplant, the minimum objective envisaged by the project was achieved: obtaining a coverage of 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖 on at least 10 square meters. Further plantings are already planned for next autumn, using new plants currently being cultivated at the Monte Barro Park – Autochthonous Flora Center.
