Maintenance of the Brivio Marsh – πΏπ‘–π‘π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘–π‘  π‘™π‘œπ‘’π‘ π‘’π‘™π‘–π‘–

Last Saturday the CFA (Centro Flora Autoctona) participated in the maintenance intervention of a stretch of the Brivio Marsh organized by the Legambiente Lecco Onlus association in collaboration with the Adda Nord Park.

The activity carried out is of fundamental importance for the protection and restoration of a strip of peat bog which, until the early 2000s, was home to the small native orchid πΏπ‘–π‘π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘–π‘  π‘™π‘œπ‘’π‘ π‘’π‘™π‘–π‘–.

As part of our project, the CFA is engaged in the production of πΏπ‘–π‘π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘–π‘  π‘™π‘œπ‘’π‘ π‘’π‘™π‘–π‘– plants through the use of seeds coming from two natural populations from Trentino and Mantua respectively, with the aim of proceeding with their reintroduction precisely in this area.
