Queens – A story by Valentino Casolo

“Queens” is an evocative tale that explores the beauty and fragility of Eryngium alpinum, a rare plant of the Alpine mountains. Through the intertwined stories of various characters – Tonino, a child who collects plants to sell them; Carlo, a florist who creates artistic compositions; Anna, who discovers a painting of flowers made by her grandfather and a researcher studying the endangered plant – the story highlights the tension between natural beauty and human activities. The central theme is the fight for the conservation of the Queen of the Alps, symbol of a fragile balance threatened by climate change and human intervention.

Our gratitude goes to Valentino Casolo – professor at the University of Udine – for sharing such a delicate and evocative story with us.
