𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙚 Guss. it is a very rare species endemic to south-western Sicily. During the first year of #SEEDFORCE research, 18 populations were identified in detail in the province of Trapani.
The sampling phase was mainly concentrated between March and June, with particular attention to the Mediterranean habitats located on the coastal calcarenitic plateau of western Sicily.
Between 6 and 13 July, we collected seeds from the main settlements, which were subsequently stored for drying during the month of August. This procedure was implemented in order to conduct germination tests in the following months.
