π˜Ύπ™–π™’π™₯𝙖𝙣π™ͺ𝙑𝙖 π™¨π™–π™—π™–π™©π™žπ™– returns to the island of Bergeggi

In recent days, Professor Minuto’s group from the University of Genoa, composed of Ian Briozzo, Geordie Biffoni and Elena Zappa, reintroduced around fifty specimens of the π˜Ύπ™–π™’π™₯𝙖𝙣π™ͺ𝙑𝙖 π™¨π™–π™—π™–π™©π™žπ™– on the island of Bergeggi (SV).

This delicate flower, a rare endemic species at high risk of extinction, had been previously reported on the islet by botanical studies.

In recent years, however, it had not been observed, probably due to the large presence of seagulls.

For this reason, to protect the seedlings, special exclusion structures were used during the SEEDFORCE reintroduction.
